About Isnaad

Turning personal trust into systemic trust.

Founded in Mogadishu in 2026, Isnaad is a wholly Somali-owned holding group building the institutional infrastructure a trust economy runs on.

Somalia's economy runs on trust — between remitters and families, traders and suppliers, banks and their customers. What it has lacked is the institutional infrastructure that turns personal trust into systemic trust: credit histories, verified identities, secured systems, regulated finance.

Isnaad exists to build that infrastructure.

Isnaad's subsidiaries operate across four connected sectors: technology and cyber security, Sharia-compliant microfinance, credit information, and general trading. Each company stands on its own; together they form a chain — each link strengthening the next.

Our founder brings over a decade of experience as a technology executive across regulated financial institutions in Kenya, Uganda, and Djibouti — including insurance, microfinance banking, and licensed payments — now brought home to Somalia.

The name

إسناد

Isnaad is the chain of transmission by which a report is authenticated — each link known, each link accountable, the whole chain trusted because every part of it can be verified. It is the oldest system of verified trust in our civilisation.

Isnaad applies that principle to enterprise: businesses built on verifiable integrity, accountable ownership, and institutions Somalis can trust.
