Who we are
Isnaad Enterprises Limited ("Isnaad") is a Somali development finance and advisory firm headquartered in Mogadishu, Somalia, licensed for Development Finance by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. This notice explains how Isnaad and the companies in its group handle personal data across Somalia and Kenya. Isnaad is the data controller for everything described below.
The law we work under
Our handling of personal data is governed by the Somali Data Protection Act (2023) for our Somalia operations and the Kenya Data Protection Act (2019) for our Kenyan operations. Where practical, data on Somali individuals is stored in-country.
What we collect
This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. There is one form on it: the registration form for our Mastering the Numbers programme. Everywhere else, contact is by email or telephone, and if you write to us we process the details and message you provide solely to answer you. Individual companies in the group publish their own notices for the services they operate.
If you register for a programme
When you register for one of our programmes we ask for your name, your business, your role and sector, your email, telephone, city, how long you have been trading, how many people you employ, and how you keep records today. We use it to administer your place, to contact you about the programme, and to plan the sessions around who is in the room.
Registrations are stored on our own server in Somalia. They are not sent to any third party service, and they are not used for advertising or sold to anyone.
Our programmes ask you to work on your own business figures. You are never required to share those figures with us. If you choose to, and only if you tick the optional box when you register, we may keep a copy so that we can follow up with you afterwards about our services. Leaving that box unticked changes nothing about your place, and you can withdraw that permission at any time by writing to us.
Registering for a programme creates no lending commitment in either direction. It is not an application for finance, and it puts you under no obligation to us.
We keep registration details for 24 months after the programme ends, so that we can tell you about later cohorts, then delete them. Any business figures you have chosen to share are deleted at the same time unless you have separately agreed otherwise in writing.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, subject to the applicable law above. To make a request, contact us at info@isnaad.so.
Contact
Data protection enquiries, including any request to access, correct or delete your data, go to info@isnaad.so, which is monitored by our operations team. Until a Head of Finance and Development is appointed, responsibility for data protection sits with the Founder and Chairman. We will name an individual contact here when that appointment is made.
